I’m Writing!

Well I’m having to give myself regular reality checks. Me-write for a Early Years magazine? I would never have thought that would happen! But my first article is about to be published in Practical Pre-School. I have been welcomed aboard as a new columnist on twitter, so it’s official.
It all started with an email asking me whether I would be interested in writing a page wrapped around all we do to help the children develop, to describe activities and source materials so hopefully inspiring ideas, and supplying shortcuts to products I find helpful to develop all areas of learning.
But back to actual writing. As some of you I do have a problem with grammar and spelling occasionally. My good friend Sarah will tell you how great I am with apostrophes, still a Facebook post if we can find an amusing joke about where to put them! I am running my scribblings via my daughter who does that rolling of the eyes thing when she catches a mistake. Having said that, my family have always supported new avenues I venture into.
So my mind is buzzing with ideas that I want to share with the Early Years Community. There are so many things that happen in my settings, some planned, some that occur and pop up. After all children are unpredictable and initiate ideas and take activities into the unknown. It’s all very exciting!
